{"id":47,"date":"2009-10-28T20:00:02","date_gmt":"2009-10-29T01:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ammonsengineering.com\/blog\/?p=47"},"modified":"2009-12-05T00:10:53","modified_gmt":"2009-12-05T05:10:53","slug":"cut-and-drill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ammonsengineering.com\/blog\/2009\/10\/cut-and-drill\/","title":{"rendered":"Cut and drill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NI has a sbRIO ready and waiting for me.\u00a0 They just need to test it and then they will ship it to me.\u00a0 Hurray!!<\/p>\n<p>Today was a big day.\u00a0 Cut the aluminum pieces for the cart.\u00a0 We only had 2\u201d aluminum angle, so we carefully cut one leg off to get a 2\u201d wide strip.\u00a0 It isn\u2019t perfect (kind of ugly) but it worked and I didn\u2019t have to buy another piece of aluminum.\u00a0 Drilled a bunch of holes with a drill press.\u00a0 I learned I am not very good at using a drill press.\u00a0 Most of my holes were not centered, even after using a punch to mark where they were supposed to be.\u00a0 After a little rework got everything good enough to put it all together.\u00a0 The cart looks ugly, but it will do the job.\u00a0 I\u2019m not running a beauty pageant, after all.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NI has a sbRIO ready and waiting for me.\u00a0 They just need to test it and then they will ship it to me.\u00a0 Hurray!!
